Submissions

Open twice a year, in February and September, for four weeks each time.

What we ask for

The first thirty pages and a one-page letter. Not a synopsis — a letter. Tell us what the book is doing and why you wrote it. We read everything that arrives inside the window.

What happens next

We reply to everyone, usually within ten weeks. If we ask for the full manuscript it means we are seriously interested; we do not ask casually.

What we do not publish

Genre series, poetry collections, and anything already self-published. All three are worth publishing; we are simply not the right house for them.
